R:10/2/1**Office of Communications – Office of Public Information 1967-1989 name changed
to Office of News and Publications 1989 – 1990. In 1990 this office was split into
two components, 1) News Services and 2) Publications. In 1992 these two
components were combined and the official name became: Department of
Communications and Marketing with managers in the two, still separate areas.
In 1995 the above title (DCM) was officially dropped, News Services was
renamed Public Relations, with the second office, Publications remaining the
same. Materials created by the Publications department will often be found in
theR:10/2 Series. As of 2007 the department was now known as the Office of
Communications, with four offices, The Office of Electronic Marketing
Communications, The Office of Publications, The Office of Public Relations, and
The Office of Video Productions.
