Greetings from the Lee County Fair Queen Pageant Committee! We are thrilled you decided to be part of the 2016 Lee County Fair Queen Pageant.
Throughout this packet you will find a lot of information on the pageant. Please make certain to read the information very carefully as it contains the rules to participate. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact either Jennifer Hightower or Gabby Boriack.

2016 Lee County Fair Queen Pageant Rules
1. Contestants participating in the Miss Lee County Fair Queen Pageant must either attend a Lee County School or reside in Lee County as of January 2016.
Age Divisions:
• Miss Lee County – Eligibility is limited to High School Freshman through High School Junior as of August 2015.
• Junior Miss Lee County – Eligibility is limited to 6th through 8th Grade as of August 2015.
• Little Miss Lee County - Eligibility is limited to 3rd through 5th Grade as of August 2015.
• Petite Miss Lee County - Eligibility is limited to Kindergarten through 2nd Grade as of August 2015.
2. Contestants must be single female, never married or had a marriage annulled. The contestant is now and has always been a female.
3. Contestant is not now, nor has ever been pregnant. The contestant is not the adoptive parent of a child.
4. Contestant has never been charged with or convicted of a felony offense. There are no adjudications presently pending against her.
5. Contestants agree that the decision of the judges is Final.
6. Hair and make-up for the pageant should be age appropriate.
7. Contestants must attend all practices, pre-pageant events and rehearsals unless excused, in advance by the Pageant Directors.
8. Any official reports of misconduct or unsportsmanlike behavior of a contestant or parent may result in disqualification.
9. Contestants agree to:
• Be prepared to present a talent during the contest. Judges will be judging on personality,
Enthusiasm, and overall appearance.Please limit talent to 2 minutes.
• Appear on stage for judging in an evening gown of their choice for Miss that is age appropriate. All gowns should compliment the delegate and fit well. Petite/Little/Junior may wear a Sunday Dress or pageant dress of their choice. Judges scoring on grace, poise, and elegance, and beauty.
• Interview: Express yourself through communicating effectively with the judges and show your personality in an appox 3 minute session with the panel of judges answering simple questions

10. The newly selected Miss Lee County Fair Queen and her court will serve along with the Petite, Little and Junior Miss Queens and courts at the Lee County Fair.
11. The newly selected Petite, Little, Junior and Miss Lee County Fair isrequired to attend the Lee County Fair, distributing ribbons and other duties designated by the Pageant Directors or any member of the Fair Board.
12. The Lee County Fair Queen Pageant has a zero tolerance policy. This includes but is not limited to the use of drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, pregnancy, etc. In the event a situation arises, the Miss Queen and/or court member will notified of our knowledge of the situation and will be asked to immediately relinquish their title, sash, trophy and other awards.
13. Contestants will use extreme caution and are encouraged to make certain there are no unseemly photos such as and not limited to alcohol, tobacco, illegal actions or lewd activities that the Lee County Fair Association deems inappropriate on their Social Media pages or other individuals Social Media pages. This includes written comments. This is part of the zero tolerance policy. By not deleting said photos or comments, you will be asked to withdraw from the contest.
14. The newly crowned Petite, Little, Junior and Miss and her court will abstain from public displays of affection towards their boyfriends during fair week. Their boyfriends and extra friends are not allowed to be part of your daily requirements while at the fair.
15. Attendance at local parades and pageants is highly encouraged at the approval of the pageant director. It is the responsibility of the Petite, Little, Junior and Miss Lee County parent/guardian to provide all transportation to and from any event, and during the event.
16. The contestant will not be officially entered in the Petite, Little, Junior and Miss Lee County Pageant until the finished application is submitted to the Pageant Director. The finished application must be submitted by the deadline. No exceptions will be made.

Petite, Little, Junior and Miss Lee County Fair Pageant Consent Form I hereby acknowledge that the personal data shown on the application is correct and I have read and understand the Petite, Little, Junior and Miss Lee County Fair Pageant Code of Conduct, Queen’s Duties, Responsibilities and Expectations. I understand the time, manner and method of conduction, the Pageant solely with the discretion of the Lee County Pageant Directors and the Lee County Fair Board. I also understand the decision of the judges is final. I hereby agree to comply with all the rules of the Petite, Little, Junior and Miss Lee County Fair Pageant. I agree to participate with good sportsmanship and respect for the Lee County. If chosen as a title holder, I agree to represent Lee County to the best of my abilities. The Lee County Fair expects equal treatment of all contestants regardless of ethnicity or race. Furthermore, I hereby grant permission to the Lee County Fair to use my photographs for publicity/promotional purposes in any and all media. Failure of the contestant and/or parents/guardians of the contestant to adhere to these guidelines will result in possible disqualification of the contestant from the pageant. Anything lost or stolen is not the responsibility of the Pageant Director or the Lee County Fair. The contestant and her parent or guardian hereby acknowledges that they have read the official rules and regulations and agrees to the following:

Petite, Little, Junior and Miss Lee County Fair Parent/Guardian Expectation Statement
The Petite, Little, Junior and Miss Lee County Fair Pageant are for the contestant and new queen and her court. All parents or guardians (referred to hereby as parent) associated with the Petite, Little, Junior and Miss Lee County Fair Pageant welcomes you to share in the pleasure of watching your daughter participate as long as their behavior does not distract the contestants, Lee County Fair Board, Pageant Directors, pageant crew and the judges. Any issues a parent may have with any of the above mentioned persons should be submitted in writing to the Lee County Fair Association office and addressed as a proper time and place.
The Parent Should:
• Make no remarks to the Lee County Fair Board, the Pageant Directors, pageant crew, judges or spectator’s unless intended to convey a genuine interest, friendship or encouragement. Avoid sharp remarks directed to contestants who make mistakes during the Petite, Little, Junior and Miss Lee County Fair Pageant.
• Support the Lee County Fair Board, Pageant Directors, pageant crew and judges consistently regardless of the result of the competition. The Lee County Fair Board, Pageant Directors, pageant crew and judges contribute many hours of their time to your daughter.
The Parent Must:
• Never use foul language or obscene gestures at pageant events related to and including the Petite, Little, Junior and Miss Lee County Fair Queen Pageant.
• Avoid persistent comments and gestures which express discouragement with the judge’s final decisions.
• Cooperation immediately with any request by the Lee County Fair Board, and the Pageant Directors, or pageant crew.
Any parent who fails to adhere to these standards can and will be asked to leave and will run the risk of their daughter being disqualified from obtaining the title of Petite, Little, Junior and Miss Lee County Fair Queen.

During my daughter’s time of vying for the title of Petite, Little, Junior and Miss Lee County Fair, I understand my attitudes, actions, and activities can directly affect my daughter’s opportunities to participate. I will conduct myself in a manner that reflects positively on my daughter. I will act accordingly at pageant events and show respect for not only myself, but also the Lee County Fair, the Pageant Directors and my daughter. I understand my daughter’s motivation to participate in the Petite, Little, Junior and Miss Lee County Fair Queen Pageant and that is to have fun, make friends, personal development, gain communication skills, and poise. I am willing to volunteer, and I will so without any expectations of special privileges for my daughter. I agree that time, manner, and method of conducting and judging the contest shall be the sole discretion of the pageant officials. I understand the judge’s scores are totaled by the judges and pageant crew to determine a winner. I agree the decision of the judges shall be FINAL. I understand that if I have a question, comment or concern regarding the Petite, Little, Junior and Miss Lee County Fair Queen Pageant shall be brought to the Pageant Directors.

Additional Information
Paperwork/Entry Fees
• All paperwork and fees are due on Friday, April 22nd.
• Petite, Little, Junior and Miss Lee County Fair Queen contestants may obtain a sponsor (business, club, organization or family) to help pay for the entry fee.
• Entry fee for the Petite, Little, Junior and Miss contestants is $40.00.
Entry Forms
You can either type or print on the application. Please note that the judges see this application so it should be neat, concise and proofread. This is the judge’s first impression of you. One additional page may be included with the application. Also, the information that you put on your application will be read while you are walking on stage and judged for Best Application. So if you don’t want something read, please don’t put it on your application. Applications are due on April 22, no exception.
Pageant T-shirt
All contestants will be supplied with a pageant T-shirt to wear on stage for the dance number and introductions. You will receive your T-shirt at the final practice. Parents and family members may purchase additional t-shirts for $12 per t-shirt.
Dressing Rooms for the Pageant
There will be a building by the stage that will be used as the dressing room. Space is limited so only one parent or guardian may accompany the contestant in the dressing room. You are encouraged to bring your own mirror, make up, hair products, wet wipes, paper towels and snacks if needed for the dressing room. You must bring ALL OF YOUR CLOTHES that you will be wearing for the day. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Practices & Dress Rehearsal
Practices are mandatory unless excused in advance by the pageant directors.
Dance and Introduction Pageant Night
Contestants will be doing a production number prior to competition. Intros will not be scored at all, but please note that the judges will be watching so make certain you have a smile on your face. It’s a fun way to start the evening. Following the dance, you will introduce yourselves by saying a greeting, your name, and current age, and your city, state. EXAMPLE: Hello Everyone!! my name is Suzy Smith and I’m 6 years old from Lexington, TX.
All contestants will be wearing at this time their pageant T-shirts, black legging capris or blue jean shorts, and tennis shoes. Please make sure your shorts are not too short!
Talent Each Contestant will perform a talent for a maximum time of 2 minutes. If you need assistance with cutting your music to 2 minutes contact Gabby Boriack and she can assist you.
