KWTFA SUMMER REGISTRATION INFORMATION 2018
Athletes in grade 4 and older are eligible for our Summer Registration. We will be accepting younger athletes for the summer program starting in May following a trial practice and evaluation.
-SummerRegistration is at the Waterloo Recreation Complex from 6-9pm on MondayApril 23rd
- accepted forms of payment are cheque or cash,there is an ATM on site
-practices this session commence May 1st and conclude at the end of July 2018
-athletes in grade 8 and younger train from 6:00-7:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays
-athletes in high school train from5:30- 7:30pm on Tuesdays,7:00 - 9:00pm on Thursdays,and some Saturday mornings from 9:00-11:00am (depending on meet schedules)
- all practices are atSt. David Secondary Catholic School, located at 4 High Street
in Waterloo
-athletes need to come to practice dressed in layers and have 2 water bottles and a snack, please be aware there are porta-potty facilities only and therefore no place to fill a bottle
-parents are welcome to stay and watch practices but are expected NOT to have interactions with their child during practices, there is a designated spot where parents will be asked to sit
- athletes MUST be dropped off and picked up inside the fenced area
- ATHLETES ARE REQUIRED TO SIGN THE ATTENDANCE RECORD
Attendance records are used to determine meet eligibility. 75% attendance is
required for any meets which are not open.
Athletes in theolder groupMUST let the coach know if they will be missing a practice ahead of time. Please put your athlete’s cell phone and email on the registration form in addition to the parental contacts.
Training fees are $80.00 for MTA Athletes and Para Athletes (grades 4- 8)
Training fees are $95.00 for AO Athletes and Para Athletes (grades 8 and older)
Training athletes may attend all practices appropriate for their age category
Level I fees are $135.00
Level I athletes train once a week on either Tuesday or Thursday evenings
(you do not need to pick one night for the entire session, you may alternate nights)
Level II fees are $170.00
Level II athletes train two times a week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings
Level III fees are $205.00
Level III athletes train three times per week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and
Saturday mornings
Athletes in Level I, II, or III have the opportunity to compete, meet fees included.
Para Athletics are athletes who would be classifiable under the International Paralympic classification system, based on disability type and severity. Disabilities include, but are not limited to cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, blind or low vision, or amputee. Athletes may be ambulatory or use a wheelchair. We can help arrange for assessments. Practice times for this groupmay be different than the times listed.
- there is a $25.00 mandatory fundraising fee in addition to all the above athlete fees
