“Star Quality” by Noel Coward
A Word from the Wardrobe……..
I am Pat Thompsett, the wardrobe mistress for the current play, ‘Star Quality’. I understand that some members of the society may be looking after some costume pieces from previous productions. It may be that you have something that I could use for this specific production: it would also be very useful for the committee to know what people have got for the future.
I would therefore be grateful if you could email me with details of any items that you may have. If you could also supply any of the following details that would be enormously helpful:
ITEM NAME/QUANTITY/HISTORICAL ERA/COLOUR/SIZE
My email address is –
Thanks in anticipation, Pat
Friday 6th October Play Reading 7.45pm Funtington Church Room.
Join us to read “The Ghost Train” by Arnold Ridley – a possible Spring Production
Filmed no less than three times, this classic drama accidentally strands six passengers at a small Cornish wayside station. They decide to stay the night….. a decision they will regret…..
Saturday 7th October- Bolton Twill/Open Day for Autumn Production from 10am
There will be lots to do in preparation for the Play, but from 11am until 3pmwe are also inviting any members of the public who might be interested in joining us to come along and see how it all works. There will be an opportunity to chat to us about all aspects of putting on a production, any thing from set design, marketing, costume, make –up, hair design, compiling a play list for sound or planning a lighting plot. There will be coffee and biscuits for visitors, and we hope that there will be friendly faces around to chat to people and provide a welcoming atmosphere.
Friday 20th/Saturday 21st October An Improvisation Workshop
Jenny Dean writes:
"Just a reminder about the studio workshop taking place Friday evening and Saturday afternoon, 20th / 21st October. The weekend will be based on improvisation but concentrating on having fun. The topic is 'Games Children Play' in which we will play games via warm ups and exercises and move on to spontaneous and prepared group pieces. It's a chance to experiment in a different way from script. I hope you'll give it a go! '
Anyone who is interested, please let me know.
