A guide for Patients
When you require a blood test as part of the treatment from your GP you will be referred to the Phlebotomy clinic for that sample to be taken. The service is provided at the following locations. The times the clinics are open is noted after each location:

Please note the following:
There are regular collections from these locations to ensure your sample is transported to the Pathology Department for safe and timely processing.
This ensures that your GP receives the results with the minimum of delay.
FASTING sample requests: you must have had no food and drink with the exception of PLAIN WATER for a MINIMUM of 12 hours prior to the time sample is taken. Unless there is this length of time the test will not be accurate and may need to be repeated. By fasting from early the previous evening, you will be able to attend the phlebotomy clinic early in the day and resume your normal eating pattern after the samples are taken.
If you wish to obtain your blood results please ring the surgery AFTER 11am.
Please call the surgery a week after your blood test to obtain your results. Please also ensure we have your correct phone number on your records
