Houston Symphony Field Trip

Dear Parents:

We are in the process of organizing a special field trip for members of our Beginning Band and Orchestra classes here at Riverwood. We are planning to attend a special young people's concert presented by the Houston Symphony in Jones Hall. It should be especially exciting for the students to see and hear professionals performing on the same instruments they are learning to play.

The date of the concert is Tuesday, October 11th, 2016. Students will travel by Humble ISD buses to the concert and then will return to school for a pizza picnic on campus. The cost of the trip is $15.00 per student, which includes the cost of the concert ticket, bus fare, and lunch.The concert starts at 11:15 a.m. so we will need to leave Riverwood at9:15 a.m. that morning.

If you would like your child to have the opportunity to hear the Houston Symphony, please complete the permission form below and return it to school along with$15.00 cash (exact change)or checkmadepayable toKingwood Orchestra Boosters. Please place the permission form and the payment in a sealed envelope labeled with student's name and period. Since it is necessary to finalize our arrangements, we need to have all the forms and money turned in by Thursday, September29th.

We also need parents to help chaperone this trip. The buses will leave at 9:15 a.m. and return around 1:30 p.m. Please indicate on the form below if you would like to attend this trip with us. Chaperones will be taken on a "first come, first served" basis until all the spots have been filled. So if you really want to go, please send this form back the next day. Chaperones will receive a free ticket to the concert in appreciation for their time and effort.
