Crime Watch Report continued from June 17, 2010 through June 24, 2010

CASE #10-2352 BURGLARYOn Thursday, June 17, 2010, Deputy S. Mitter responded to a residence on Independence Road in regards to a burglary complaint. Two guns and other items were reported stolen.

CASE #10-2355 BURGLARYOn Friday, June 18, 2010, Deputy S. Mitter responded to a residence on Kingwood Pike, near Monongalia County, in regards to a burglary complaint. Several items were reported stolen.

CASE #10-2367 SHOPLIFTINGOn Monday, June 21, 2010, Deputy Rodeheaver responded to the Wal-Mart, near Kingwood, in regards to a shoplifting complaint. The suspect was confronted about stealing an item and fled the store. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE #10-2368 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTYOn Monday, June 21, 2010, Cpl Bryan received a call from a resident of Marquess Road, near Fellowsville, in regards to a destruction of property complaint. The complainant stated that his mailbox had been smashed, along with several others. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Preston County Sheriff’s Department.

CASE #10-2371 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTYOn Monday, June 21, 2010, Cpl Dotson and DFC Tichnell responded to a local business in Kingwood in regards to a destruction of property complaint. An air conditioning unit had been damaged. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE #10-2380 LARCENYOn Tuesday, June 22, 2010, Deputy Tichnell received a call from a local business in Terra Alta regarding a larceny complaint. A driver had drove off without paying for the gasoline. This complaint is being followed up by the Terra Alta Police Department.

CASE #10-2394 LARCENYOn Tuesday, June 22, 2010, Deputy Tichnell received a call from a resident of Three Fork Road, in Newburg, in regards to a larceny complaint. The complainant stated that an old vehicle had been sitting in his front yard and had been removed by an unknown person(s). Anyone who may have witnessed this is asked to contact Deputy Tichnell.

CASE #10-2387 BURGLARYOn Tuesday, June 22, 2010, Cpl Bryan responded to Union Street in Bruceton Mills in regards to a burglary complaint. A window was found broken and the home was rummaged through.

CASE #10-2392 FRAUD On Wednesday, June 23, 2010, Lt. Stiles received a call from a resident of Kingwood who stated that he had received a call that he thought to be fraudulent. The caller stated that a cruise was to be given away and asked if they had plans for an upcoming vacation. The caller also asked for the departure date and return date. The call was ended promptly and no return call could be made from the given telephone number. If you receive a call that you feel is suspicious, do not give out any information to the caller. This may be a way for them to know when your home will be vacant.

CASE #10-2397 BURGLARYOn Wednesday, June 23, 2010, Deputy Tichnell responded to a residence on Old Route 73, near Bruceton Mills, in regards to a burglary complaint. The owner of the home had witnessed two people leaving her home in a green vehicle. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE #10-2404 FORGERY/UTTERINGOn Wednesday, June 23, 2010, Cpl Root received a call from a resident of Albright, who stated that checks had been stolen from her home and used without her permission. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE #10-2410 STOLEN VEHICLEOn Thursday, June 24, 2010, Deputy Mitter received a call from a resident of Rohr Road, near Masontown, who reported that a red Dodge Dakota vehicle had been stolen from the residence. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE #10-2413 BURGLARYOn Thursday, June 24, 2010, Deputy Tichnell responded to a residence in Arthurdale in regards to a burglary complaint. The front door had been damaged and a flat screen TV had been stolen from her home. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE #10-2424 LARCENYOn Thursday, June 24, 2010, Deputy Palmer spoke with a resident of Arthurdale who stated that his Garmin Street Pilot (GPS) had been stolen from his vehicle. The victim had just noticed the item missing and wanted law enforcement to be aware.

CASE #10-2429 LARCENYOn Thursday, June 24, 2010, Deputies Root and Palmer responded to the Bretz area in regards to a larceny complaint. The victim stated that a vehicle computer had been stolen from his garage.

CASE #10-2425 LARCENYOn Thursday, June 24, 2010, Deputy Palmer received a call from a resident of Reedsville who stated that the license plate had been stolen from her vehicle.

CASE #12540 – A Burglary occurred in the Pisgah area of Bruceton Mills on June 23, 2010. Trooper Chumley is the investigating officer.

CASE #12541 – A report of Grand Larceny was reported on June 24, 2010 in the Masontown area. Trooper Chumley is the investigating officer.
