As an example, we present the effect of unmeasured confounder on the OR of 60 ccy (50th percentile for coffee consumption) vs. no coffee consumption, among APOE carriers. Estimated OR=0.594 (95% CI: 0.446-0.788, p<0.001). The confounder is assumed to be binary. G: the relative risk of disease associated with the unmeasured confounder. P0: the prevalence of the unmeasured confounder in the unexposed (ccy=0) population. P1: the prevalence of the unmeasured confounder in the exposed (ccy=60) population.
