Evaluation form of World Championships

This is a form to be filled in by the IPF Championship Secretary and all other IPF official taking part in a World championship.

One copy of the form to be sent to the General Secretary and he will send one copy to the Organizer.

The purpose of filling in this form is to make a review of how the most important technical details regarding a championship were prepared and how they function.

referee lamps, etc. – and were the seats for the audience
well positioned to view the lifting and the scoreboard?
8 / Venue: Was championship posters posted outside the venue and
was it inside posted nameplates to show the way to the
wardrobes, weighing in rooms, doping control room etc.?
9 / Venue: Podium. Was the podium good organized (e.g. built up from
the floor, good space for the loaders, good plate holders,
space for the referees to position their chairs, good position
of the jury table, equipment for brushing the bar, cleaning the floor etc.)
10 / Venue: Were the platform no slippery and of good and stable standard?
11 / Venue: Did the bar, plates, racks and the bench at the platform meet
the IPF standard of recognized equipment?
12 / Venue: Did the secretary administration and speaker service work
well (were they experienced and good qualified)?
13 / Venue: Was the loudspeaker system of good (hearable) quality?
14 / Venue: Was it a separate and visible (to all) display for the weight on the bar?
15 / Venue: Was it a visible (to all) clock system for counting down the time?
16 / Venue: How was the quality of the main scoreboard and was it
visible for all the audience?
17 / Venue: Competition computer program. Was the information
complete (e.g. did the written result lists include individual
and team points and ready to be posted on the IPF Web site on each competition day?
18 / Venue: Was it a sufficient number of screens in the venue and
warming up area presenting the order of lifting and the
progressive competition results?
19 / Venue: Music. How did the music fit in to the lifting and to the
speaker service?
Note the rule which says:”If music accompanies the lifting, the Jury will determine the volume.The music will terminate when the lifter takes the weightof the bar in the squat and bench press or begins the pull in the deadlift”.
20 / Venue: Spotters. Was the loadings of the bar fast and correct and the
protection of the lifters good?
21 / Venue: Result service. Were the starting lists and result lists available at time?
22 / Venue: Could copies be made easily (copy machine available)?
23 / Warm up: How was the space in the warming up room?
24 / Warm up: How was the number of warming up platforms?
25 / Warm up: How was the standard of the warming up equipment
(platforms, racks, bars and plates)? Were they according to
the Technical Checklist?
26 / Warm up: Was it sufficient number of seats in the warming up area
for the lifters to make the wrapping?
27 / Warm up: Did the organizer limit and control the number of coaches
and supporters joining the lifters in the warming up area?
28 / Warm up. Was it provided for good information regarding the lifting
order and the update of the competition results by
computer screens in the warming up area?
29 / Warm up: Was it a good quality of the loudspeaker in the warming up
area?
30 / Warm up: Did the organizer provide free drinks for the lifters and
coaches in the warming up room?
31 / Warm up: Was the passage to and from the platform for the lifters
well prepared with good space for lifter and coach (not
crowded with additional people watching the
competition)?
32 / Warm up: Was it sufficient amount of magnesia for the lifters?
33 / Doping control: Were the rooms and equipment well prepared for
conducting the doping control ?
34 / Doping control: Did the doping control people work professionally
according to your observation?
35 / Weigh in: Was the weighing in room well prepared with table, chairs, scales, lists etc.
36 / Weigh in: Did the Technical secretary work well preparing all
weighing in lists, speaker cards, attempt cards etc. ?
37 / Referees: How was the general impression of the referee standard?
38 / Jury: How was the general impression of the jury?
39 / Cafeteria: Was it a good arrangement and a various assortment for
buying food, drinks etc. to reasonable prices?
40 / Cafeteria: Did the organizer provide free food and drinks to working officials?
41 / General: Did the organizer co-operate well with the IPF officials in
the way to make corrections as/if requested?
42 / General: State the overall impression by the organization
