What’s New at MI Research and Consulting, Inc.?

Summer, 2010

Hello ~

Much is happening at MI Research and Consulting and MIDAS continues to grow around the world! Several books, chapters and articles have been published in the past year. Recently I was pleased to do a book signing with Howard Gardner sponsored by Teachers College Press at AERA in Denver.

A new Welcome video on my website serves as an introduction to both MIDAS and what’s on the site. I am currently writing Teacher Scripts that demonstrate how to use the MIDAS profile to guide students with behavioral concerns. This work will complement a series of exemplar student profiles that illustrate how the Profile helps to maximize student achievement. The goal is to support teachers in providing all of their students with MI-inspired instruction. Contact me if you’re interested in this work. Cheers! Branton Shearer

Sara Reith, school psychologist at Wooster (Ohio) City Schools, has spearheaded a project incorporating the MIDAS in two 5th grade classrooms.
