2013-14 Courage to LeadÒ for Educational Leaders
Exploring the Developmental Paradoxes of School Leadership
A Series of Six Tuesday Dinner Meetings
for School Principals and Central Office Leaders
Ivar’s Salmon House on Lake Union
401 NE Northlake Way, Seattle
This Courage to Lead series of dinner gatherings provides a welcome opportunity to step out of the fray of daily pressures to reconnect with what’s most important to you as a person and educational leader. Facilitated reflection, story sharing, conversation on the big questions, good food and good company will nourish the soul, leaving you more refreshed than when you arrived, with new skills to navigate the complex territory of your work and life.
This year’s series will focus on the paradoxes inherent in developing our potential as adults and leaders. We will explore new ideas about stages of adult development and how working with paradox and polarities can help us reframe the challenges, conflicts, and opportunities we inevitably face in our work.
