SPECTRUM Residencies

This part of the project aims to support local artists who wish to expand their live show whether this be through a collaboration with other artists to create something cross-art or working with additional musicians creating a new layer to your sound. We would expect you to already have the ball rolling with your ideas and who you are working with. Once you are at this point we can offer you:

• Two weeks at Brighton Youth Centre (BYC) – a space for you to bring in your equipment and leave it there so you have space and time for creativity.

• A day with our technicians in a space at Brighton Dome to finalise how everything will work in the venue and have a tech rehearsal.

• A headline slot at a SPECTRUM Live night with this new work.

As part of the exchange with BYC you would be expected to work with the young people there in some way during your two weeks. This could be a music workshop, jam session or you might perform something with a feedback session/ vice versa with a young band. We can help guide you on this if it something you have never done before.
