How can I get involved in the PTO?

Register online at or complete the attached volunteer form by August 28th.

Our PTO uses a secure web-based tool to help us collect and manage our students’ and families’

contact information, volunteer interests, and communicate with families about school events,

classroom parties, and fundraising activities. Please only register your children attending New

Palestine Elementary School. (PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A SEPARATE SYSTEM FROM THE SCHOOL’S

ELECTRONIC REGISTRATION SYSTEM ...PLEASE REGISTER IN BOTH SYSTEMS!)

How can I register or update my information online?

1. Go to select “PTO Email and Volunteer Registration.” Our web service has moved to a new platform this year, but info of those previously registered has been transferred into the new system.

  • New Registration: Click the link to “Don’t have an account?” under the login credentials. After you register,you can login and select your volunteer interests and enter yourchild(ren)’s information including grade and teacher.
  • Updating your information: If you are already registered with, click “login” and you will be ableto update the information in your profile. Be sure to update your student’s grade andteacher as well as your volunteer interests for this school year. (If you were registeredlast year and have forgotten your password, just type in your email address under “ForgotYour Password?” and the system will allow you to reset your password).

2. Once you login to the system, you will need to visit the “My Account” section from the left toolbar (you may need to click the three lines at the top right corner to expand the menu). Click “My Family Info” to update your profile, your children’s information, and select your volunteer interests from the subscription lists.

3. Ensure you address is correct under “Household.” Be sure to click on the “Students” section to enter or update your child’s grade and teacher.

4. Click your name under “Parent” to select your volunteer interests from the subscription lists.

5. When your student and profile information are updated, click on the “SAVE” button.

The New Palestine Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (NPE PTO) is an active group of parents and teachers who strive to enhance the learning opportunities for all the children at NPE. The PTO utilizes volunteers to aid theschool during many activities throughout the school year. The following is a list of several ways you may be ableto assist. Please check the committee(s) that you would be interested in helping. The chairperson of each committee will contact volunteers prior to the event.

Room Parent: Plan and lead classroom games and crafts for classroom parties. Snacks will be provided and managed by the PTO. Please select a specific party you would be interested in helping with. This allows parents with multiple children to participate in planning parties for different classrooms. Please note that volunteers would need to be available for the entire party in the classroom to set up, run games/crafts, pass out snacks, and clean up after the party, approximately 2:30 pm through the end of the day.

Box Tops: Help Count and prepare and soup labels collected from classrooms to be redeemed for money or prizes for our school. / Landscaping: Keep the outside of NPE looking beautiful and inviting by weeding, planting flowers, etc. / Sixth Grade Celebration: Assist with celebration activities, dance, and memory DVDs.
Carnival: Help plan and organize the annual Carnival, including theme, games, & food. / Library Helper: Help students and faculty check out and return items. Shelve and organize all media. / Spirit Wear: Assist coordinators with a spirit wear sale.
Community Liaison: Work with area business on fundraising and other school events. / McDonald’s: Serve as an NPE representative during fundraising night at our local NP McDonald’s. / Teacher/Staff Appreciation: Help coordinators with appreciation activities throughout the year.
Fall Fundraiser: Mum Sale: Assist coordinators with the sale and distribution of mums. / Movie Night: Help chaperone or make popcorn for our Friday after school movie nights. / Yearbook Helper: Help select pictures and design class pages for yearbook.
General Volunteer: Periodically, volunteers are needed to assist with a variety of school activities. / Kindergarten Round Up: Greet our incoming Kindergarten families and help with PTO table. / Yearbook Photographer: Take pictures of student during school sponsored events throughout the year.
