SALARY RANGE:$14.00 initial;$16.00 per hour after completing Crisis Intervention Training
SUPERVISOR:Associate Director of Programs (ADP).
STATUS:Non-Exempt, 32-34hours (30 prevention/2-4 hours-Teen Advocate)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF ALL POSITIONS:
- Ability to work within a team
- Must abide by the Employee Manual and Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalition Policies and Procedures and adhere to DVSAC competency, ethical standards, values and mission.
- Have a reliable means of transportation, valid CA driver’s license and proof of insurance.
- Must pass a Livescan.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF PREVENTION COORDINATORPOSITION:
- Must embrace principals of trauma informed care and commit to on-going personal growth.
- Possess a Crisis Intervention Training Certification with emphasis on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. (DVSAC will provide paid training time)
- Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services or related field with two years’ experience working with teens.
- Comfortable working with school administration, faculty, law enforcement, public speaking.
- Ability to write grants, administer, create logic models, strategies, evaluation procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- If not Green Dot trained, attend training in VA.
- Ability to help lead, mentorand support Staff.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage and meet deadlines.
- Must possess emotional maturity and stability.
- Influence and support Associate Directors’ policies and directives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A.Prevention Program Implementation
Working closely with ADP and Prevention Advocate, plan, develop, implement and coordinate all prevention andcommunity education in western Nevada County.
Implement Green Dot Bystander Education in western Nevada County schools through developing one-on-one relationships with key students, make classroom and staff presentations, provide 6-hour Green Dot By-Stander Trainings and Follow Up Booster events.
- Implement community Green Dot Bystander Education information/trainings.
- Work with ADP and Prevention Advocate to develop and establish a community response to the prevention of sexual assault as per the Spectrum of Prevention.
- With Prevention Advocate, facilitate Peer to Peer Leadership Club at Nevada Union High School.
- Coordinate with Prevention Advocate response to area schools questions/challenges regarding Title IX.
B.Program Management
- With ADP and Prevention Advocate, help develop and monitorCalifornia Department of Public Health(CDPH) project goals, objectives, logic models, scope of work, and work plans.
- Attend all CDPH required Technical Assistance trainings-in person, conference calls and webinars
- Develop and implement evaluation methods and tools to effectively evaluate the prevention program activities and goals, tracking prevention program services within Apricot.
- Ensure grant reports are completed on time.
- With ADP and Prevention Advocate, develop and expand Prevention Programs.
- With ADP and Prevention Advocate assist with writing Prevention grants.
- Participate in relevant collaborative meetings at schools and within the community
- Provide close communication between the Prevention Team, Client Intervention Services, and ADP.
- Provide support and education to school administration and counselors regarding DVSAC services and Title IX.
- Community Education
- Assist with awareness campaigns.
- Provide Healthy Relationship presentations to middle, high school & college students, as requested
- Participate in relevant collaborative meetings at schools and within the community.
- Participate in Crisis Intervention training.
- Crisis Intervention(approximately 10 hours per week as Advocate/Counselor)
- Primarily, along with Prevention Advocate, provide Advocacy/Counseling/Assistance to youth experiencing interpersonal violence.
- When requested by Intervention Supervisor, provide backup with Clients, responding to calls or walk in Clients.
- On a rotating basis, provide coverage for the 24-hour Crisis Line, including responding to emergency calls from law enforcement and hospital, as needed.
- Other Responsibilities
- Attend Staff and Advocate meetings.
- Meet with Associate Director of Programs and Prevention Advocate regularly.
- Assist all Staff with answering telephone when Program Support Receptionist is not available.
- Other duties as assigned.
