2. GE –Regan Foundation Scholarship Program
· $40,000 scholarship program for seniors who demonstrate leadership, drive, integrity and citizenship

4. American Legion Essay Contest

· Consists of 2 parts, one a memorized oration and an extemporary oration on an assigned topic.

8. Robert Trace Essay Contest
· For students 15-18 years of age who is child/grandchild of a PA Legionnaire living or deceased or a child of a PA soldier killed as a result of war on terrorism.
· 300-500 word essay on the topic of Patriotism and Citizenship-What America means to me?”

9. Penn East Federal Credit Union Scholarship
· Parent/Guardian must be a member of Penn East
· Student must join credit union to apply
· Graduating senior who will be attending an accredited university.

10. The Roy W. Piper Charitable Trust Scholarship
· Scholarships for students entering 4 year, 2 year and military related schools.
· Student must have a 2.0-4.0 gpa
· Parents household income must be less than $90,000

11. Mike Munchak Community Service Scholarship
· Graduating senior who has demonstrated commitment through community service activities

· Must reside in Lackawanna or Wayne County

14. The Pennsylvania School Public Relations Association Scholarship
· For students interested in studying the public relations field or related subjects (i.e. journalism, English, public relations, advertising, graphic arts, etc.).
· The candidate should have maintained a 3.0 GPA, and have been accepted to or applied at a two or four-year college, vocational-technical school, or other institution of higher learning.
