The Impact of Your Choice—Video

Main Points:

·  We all expect to make it home.

·  When you choose to drink and drive bad things can happen.

·  Getting away without consequences repeatedly when drinking and driving eventually catches up to you.

·  Alcohol related crashes cause far reaching affects for family, friends and communities.

·  Drinking impairs decision making ability.

·  Devastation of the family unit.

·  Lifetime effects on relationships, physical, mental and financial health.

·  On going psychological issues are affecting everyone directly or indirectly involved in these crashes.

·  Coping with grieving.

·  Making the choice to get into a car when the driver has been drinking will also have devastating consequences.

·  You lose control of your choices when you get into the car of a driver that has been drinking.

·  Ask yourself who else would be affected (i.e. the death of a friend, relative or innocent party).

·  Think of the consequences before choosing to drink and drive.

·  Once something bad happens it cannot be undone—there is no turning back.

·  It can happen to anyone, anytime—A split second decision can impact lives forever.

·  Are you prepared to pay that price?

·  Every action has a consequence.
