1. Add and subtract up to 3-digit numbers.

2. Students will become familiar with but not master adding and subtracting 4-digit

numbers.

3. Students will be able to read and recognize numbers up to the thousands place.

4. Tell time to the hour, ½ hour, 5 minute intervals.

5. Students will be familiar with U.S. and metric measurement linear and liquid

measurement and be able to read a Fahrenheit thermometer.

6. Students will be able to recognize and know the value of coins, compare money values,

make change, use different bills and coins for certain amounts of money.

7. Students will be introduced to the concept of multiplication.

8. Students will continue working with basic fraction concepts. They will also be able to

compare fractions using greater than and less than.

The philosophy of Science is to empower students through the comprehension of scientific facts and concepts that exists as a part of God's perfect creation. Students will understand that God's word determines the laws of science (Job 9). An understanding of science will aid in the quality of mankind. Students will also be able to identify the purpose of exploring science to fulfill God's will for healing (Matt. 26:11) through the materials He has provided (Gen. 1:28).
