Teach: Today we are going to talk about shapes that make up a car. An example of a car is Lightning McQueen or Chick Hicks
ASK: What are we going to talk about? (CARS or COOKIES)
Teach: What is an example of a car? (CHICK HICKS or NEMO)
Expand: What color is CHICK HICKS? (GREEN or BLUE)
Expand: What color is Lightning McQueen? (RED or PURPLE)
Teach: There are many shapes that make up a car. There are four tires that are in the shape of a circle. The basic shape of a car is rectangle. Many of the windows are triangle and rectangle. The steering wheel is a circle shape.
ASK: How many tires does the care have? (FOUR or SONG)
Expand: What shape is the tire? (CIRCLE or SQUARE)
Expand: The shape of the tire is circle because it allows the car to? (MOVE or STOP)
Expand: What shape is the body of the car? (RECTANGLE or TRIANGLE)
Expand: How many sides are there on a rectangle? (FOUR or SIX)

Teach: Cars race on a racetrack. The racetrack is in the shape of an oval. The race track has a straight line off of it where they change their tires and get more gas. This are is called the pit.
