Abstract
Jane produced an interrogatory question for the defence witnesses, asking whether they believed that her late husband’s bequest to her of his lease of Halton Hall should include everything within the lease or indenture. William, Reginald and Lawrence produced witnesses who testified that they had been present when a copy of the will produced in court had been read back to the testator before his death and that they had heard him confirm it to be his will.

Abstract
Jane issued additional articles against the defendants, in which she claimed that the late Thomas had stated that whoever received the lease of Halton Hall from him would also receive Mansell Close. Jane claimed that those who witnessed Thomas’s will clearly heard him bequeath Halton Hall to her as his wife, and understood that she would also get Mansell Close. The rest of Thomas’s goods were to go to his next of kin, and his executors were to get only 40s each. Jane further said that her late husband had asked that she allow the current keeper of the close, his godson, to continue there. The defendants produced interrogatory questions to be put to Jane’s witnesses about the will.Jane produced several witnesses who testified that they had been present at the making of the will, and that Halton Hall and Mansell close were to both go to Jane.
