Update on Facilities–Basketball court at 718 Arthurwas completed in September. The neighborhood children and young people found it immediately. Ten to Twelve young people are playing on the court daily. Hail damage to 710 Arthur and 339 Gabriel completely repaired.

We were an EPN Out of School Time (OST) provider for almost 5 years and have been in the neighborhood for 10.5 years.
EVENTS:
Block Parties—Community Fellowships
Monthly block parties-- serve lunch to residents. food boxes, clothing, school supplies, Thanksgiving dinners, Christmas gifts for children, and household items are distributed at events. Live Christian music and speakers are also a part of each gathering. An opportunity is offered for attendees to become followers of Jesus.
6th Graders from Prestonwood Baptist in Plano—provided Vacation Bible School and a mini Block Party for children.
Special Block Party for the Men of the neighborhood—provided food and prizes
CBC Outbound Experience—March-- food boxes, many block party events
Clean Up Saturday—about 60 men and women cleaned up our neighborhood.
November—Thanksgiving dinners for 150 families.
Women’s Night Out at CBC—16 Charis Women attended
Charis Girls Swimming Party and overnight event—15 girls participated.
Charis Girls Attending Camp—10 at summer camp
Mighty Warriors at Camp—3 boys attended summer camp.
Mighty Warriors (Boys’ Bible study) Swimming Party—5 attended swim party.
Vision Screening—Dr. Alan Baribeau and staff—5 events, 28 patients examined
Grants—Received Grants from Dept of Education (Administered by United Way) to expand tutoring and Summer reading; general purpose grant received from TX Capital Bank; Needs Assessment EPN—grant/contract received; Area Foundation two year grant for the bulk of the children’s program, Saint Susie Foundation grant for salaries.
Benefit Golf Tournament—more than 130 people attended with over 80 golfers; great response.
