REMUNERATION OF OUTSIDE BODIES
1) Northumberland National Park Authority
The current Basic Allowance for Members is £1,636 (though a one-off 10% cut has been taken this financial year) and is paid to all 22 Members.
Special Responsibility Allowances are calculated by multipliers applied to the Basic Allowance:

2) Wansbeck Homes
Have confirmed they would only ever pay reasonable out of pocket travel expenses to the members of the Wansbeck Homes board who are county councillors. This is what they do for any board member (independent, tenant, or councillor). They also do not offer or provide any other sort of allowance or remuneration to these members.
However, they also liked to stress that we have never had a claim for out of pocket expenses made by a councillor, and as such have never paid anything to a councillor sitting on the Wansbeck Homes Board.
3) Milecastle Housing Association
£3,000 per annum
4) Homes for Northumberland
£50 per annum
5) Castle Morpeth Homes
£3,000 per annum
6) Northumberland Care Trust
The County Council does not make direct appointments. Members are invited to apply and go through an interview process. There are three councillors on the board. They are Councillors Bradbury, Davey, and Reed. Other councillors with Trust duties are Councillors Romer and Watson. The payments made following the band of £5,000 to £10,000.
7) Northumbria Police Authority
£9,740 per annum (only the chairman gets more).
8) NEREO
£21 attendance allowance is payable for attending annual general meeting. £10 subsistence is payable for attending each half yearly meeting (plus mileage if requested).
