Program registration is first come, first-served. Each school may have up to three participants and an advisor. A registration fee of $30.00 is due on the day of the workshop. Educators, please collect $30.00 from each participant and bring to the event. Checks and money orders should be made payable to Johnson & Wales University. You will be responsible for payment for every participant registered on this form.

You are invited to bring up to three of your non-competing Culinary Arts students to participate in a JWU/ FCCLA Skills Day! You will have the option of choosing either the Culinary Arts workshop or Baking & Pastry workshop. Both workshops are conducted by JWU Chef Instructors

Cost / $30.00 per participant
(includes materials, food supplies, dinner Thursday and breakfast Friday)
Transportation / Arranged by teachers and provided by participating high schools and/or county school boards, following appropriate guidelines.
Requirements / JWU uniform standards must be followed during lab work (see attached sheet for uniform requirements).

UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS
The following dress policy is required for the laboratory work on Friday.
Participants may dress casually all other times during the day.
Laboratory Uniform Policy
Plain white t-shirt (no logos) - A chef’s coat is also acceptable
White socks
Black flat shoes (non-skid and non-slip preferred); kitchen shoes - no flip-flops or mules
Black pants or chef’s pants - no shorts
No jewelry (earrings, necklace, rings, watch, etc.)
Fingernails must be clipped short. No nail polish.
Hair must be pulled back and secured.
Chefs hats must be worn (provided or bring your own)
Equipment will be provided; however, students may opt to bring their knife kits
