Crew Leader Position
For our Crew Leader position, this job entails direct control and management of your crew week to week. The Crew Leader will perform a weekly given schedule and any additional tasks needed to be performed on all of the assigned accounts. Each day the Crew leader will be responsible for checking all equipment and ensuring your crew is ready to perform all tasks to the fullest each day. All properties must be checked over to ensure all details are in excellent shape at each account. The Crew Leader is also responsible for mixing all chemicals, fertilizers, and gasoline mixes correctly and ensuring the proper amount is applied to each property. Communication every day with your Account Manager and Production Supervisor is essential to ensure all accounts are up to the high standards of Cross Creek Grounds.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage each day and your crew
- Ensure each crew member is properly using all equipment
- Teach each crew member landscape knowledge and enhance their skills
- Observe, record, and relay to manager any imperfections on accounts
- Hang door tags on each account
- Use your tablet every day after each account
- Take detailed notes on each account
- Ensure the safety of your crew
- Keep all equipment and truck clean and running properly
- Assist in keeping the shop clean and organized
Skill Requirements
- Landscape and grounds knowledge

- Able to use all landscape equipment

Turf Technician
As far as Turf Technician, this job entails providing timely and organized applications to all residential and commercial turf accounts. The Spray Technician will be responsible for following a schedule of necessary applications and be able to diagnose and treat any turf problems that may arise. Each day communication to managers with progress and turf quality updates are essential to ensure the accounts meet Cross Creek standards. Customer contact is frequent, making it essential to be able to engage with our clients and educate them, if necessary, on the reasons for applications, turf quality, and seasonal turf changes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure safety is the number one priority
- Apply all applications in a timely manner
- Follow a schedule with quality work
- Knowledge off all chemicals, read labels, and mix chemicals properly
- Record inventory of chemicals and communicate with managers
- Organization skills to manage your daily changing route
- Relay production and progress reports daily
- Perform daily truck and chemical inspection to meet safety standards
- Assist in maintaining a clean shop, especially a clean and organized chemical cabinet
Skill Requirements
- Excellent eye for details and turf needs
- A clean driving record and safely operate all trucks, spreader, and sprayers
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive attitude and drive to become better
- Knowledge of horticulture, grounds, and turf maintenance
- Dependable, consistent, and always on time
- Physically able to meet the demands listed above
Certifications
- Residential spray tech license required
- Commercial spray license is a bonus
