A small selection of fabrics and other resources for your project (or your stash!) are available for purchase on the day.
- Sept 16-17 : Get that Quilt Finished
- Part 1 - Quilting our projects is often the most challenging part of making a quilt. During this day you will learn about setting up your machine for successful quilting using your walking foot, the effect of using different threads, different quilting designs including linear, concentric, radiating and spirals, and making use of the decorative stitches on your machine
- Part 2 – Using a previously completed quilt top (or a piece of plain fabric – a “Wholecloth”), learn how to layer it up, quilt it and bind it. There will be opportunity for a little excursion into FMQ, if you want to try. (You will need to be able to drop your feed dogs). You will receive help and support in choosing an appropriate quilting design and in binding your quilt. How to add a hanging sleeve will also be included. The amount of work completed by each participant will depend on their existing skills and pace of work /
- Nov 11-12 : Make it for Christmas
This is your chance to be Christmas Creative! Choose one of the options below
