ABOUT DALLAS THEATER CENTER:
One of the leading regional theaters in the country, Dallas Theater Center (DTC) performs to an audience of more than 90,000 North Texas residents annually. Founded in 1959, DTC is a resident company of the AT&T Performing Arts Center and presents its Mainstage season at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre, designed by REX/OMA, Joshua Prince-Ramus and Rem Koolhaas. DTC also presents productions at its original home, the Kalita Humphreys Theater, the only freestanding theater designed and built by Frank Lloyd Wright. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Kevin Moriarty and Managing Director Jeff Woodward, DTC produces a seven-play subscription of classics, musicals and new plays and an annual production of “A Christmas Carol;” extensive education programs including Project Discovery, Summer Stage and partnerships with Southern Methodist University’s Meadows School of the Arts and Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts; and community outreach efforts.

DTC is a member of The League of Resident Theaters (LORT) and operates under the LORT agreement with Actors’ Equity, the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society and United Scenic Artists.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
●Work under the supervision of the Company Manager to provide a balance of care and supervision to all visiting artists
●Facilitate air travel, ground transportation and housing for guest artists and DTC staff
●Manage 9 full time guest artist apartments; overseeing move-in and out activities as well as coordinating cleaning and routine maintenance
●Oversee apartment inventory of furniture, furnishings and soft goods establishing a regular rotating schedule for replacement and repair as needed
●Act as an on-call reference and after-hours liaison for guest artists
●Organize and maintain a fleet of rental cars for visiting artists
●Assist with the administration of reimbursement payments
●Help to execute opening night festivities for each show in the season
●Assist in the distribution and collection of all parking permits and badges
●Provide visiting artists with doctor’s appointments, when necessary
●To contribute to the wide variety of DTC one-off projects as appropriate

ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES:
●Experience of working in a LORT or other professional theatre and a sound grasp of current best theatre practice in the US
●Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously
●Sound IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
●Understanding of AEA rules
●Experience of forming and managing relationships with creative artists and their representatives
●Sound creative judgment
●Excellent written and verbal communication
●Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
●Excellent time management skills
●Ability to be and desire to work as part of a team
●Ability to work under pressure
●Must have valid driver’s license and own transportation
