Unit: 9.1 World War One

UNIT OVERVIEW:Students will investigate Australia’s involvement in the World War One. They will develop an understanding of why Australia became involved and investigate where Australian soldiers fought and the conditions that they faced. Furthermore, they will examine life on the home front to understand how war affected people not directly involved. Students will analyse primary source documents in order to understand contemporary attitudes to the Great War.
