Calona Vineyards Artist Series tells a story that begins on the label and finishes on your palate. It’s about award-winning wines and wonderful art brought together to reflect each other’s brilliance. Each painting is carefully selected for the special way it evokes the unique flavour of the wine. Pinot Noir is BC artist Jill Charuk's favourite red, and the essence of the wine is captured in the title of her painting, Little Diva. Although lighter in style, the brightness and appeal of the wine's personality shines through like the playful youth of the little red tree. It’s an exhibition of individual taste and a showcase for the wines of Calona Vineyards.
PINOT NOIR 2011
A ruby red colour with a beautiful nose of cherry, red plum and blackberry, complemented by notes of smoke and spice. This light to medium-bodied Pinot Noir is perfect for casual sipping with its juicy red fruit flavours, silky mouth-feel and elegance. The dry, but not too dry, finish lingers gently with notes of juicy red fruits.
WINEMAKERS NOTES
This Pinot Noir is grown in premium vineyards throughout the Okanagan Valley. Gentle winemaking techniques were thoughtfully applied, giving us a beautifully balanced, fruit-forward tasting wine.
