The CCEA election cycle is about to begin. As of January 25, 2018 the nomination process is open. Any member of Clay County Education Association (CCEA) in good standing may self-nominate or nominate another member in good standing, (with their permission) for the positions listed.

DIRECTIONS FOR NOMINATION AND ELECTION OF CCEA LEADERSHIP POSITIONS

●Nominations will be accepted through Friday, February 16,2018. All nominations must be received by the Northeast Florida Service Unit office (1855 Wells Road, Unit 5A, Orange Park, FL 32073 or fax 904-264-0533) no later than 4:00 PM on Friday, February 16, 2018.

●Nominees agree to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position for which they are nominated and to abide by the CCEA Constitution, Bylaws, and Policy & Procedures Manual to the best of their ability.

●NOMINATIONS ARE FOR THE ELECTION OF THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS:

➢Delegate to the Florida Education Association (FEA) Delegate Assembly- 27 Delegates + alternates

(Funded by CCEA)

●Delegates must use personal leave and will receive $100 gift card from CCEA

➢Delegate to the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) Convention- 3 Delegates

(Funded by CCEA)

➢Delegate to the National Education Association (NEA) Representative Assembly - 3 Delegates

●At delegates personal expense

If the number of candidates nominated equals or is less than the number of positions allocated, the candidates shall be declared elected. If there are more nominations than positions the decision will be made in an election. In the event of a tie during an election, a run-off election will occur.
