In order to complete the independent reading program, students must read two books from the attached list and complete a reading log for each.

To earn the field trip incentive, students must read an additional two titles of their choice and complete two additional reading logs.

All reading logs are due by Friday, September 14, 2012 to the homeroom teacher.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. May I choose a book not on the list? You must read at least 2 books from the list. If you work to earn the field trip incentive, the 3rd and 4th books that you read DO NOT need to be from the list below.

2. Where can I get a copy of the reading logs? A copy of the reading logs can be found on the Middle School website www.newfane.wnyric.org or can be picked up at the Middle School main office.

3. Will I get a grade for the reading logs? Sort of! We’ll check to see if students completed the reading logs to qualify either for a certificate (2 or 3 books) or field trip (4 books).
