Bingo Profit –$1043.80 + $50 extra donation = $1093.80
Cathy Taylor suggested getting a few bids for landscaping to determine if we are still competitive with Vigliotti. Cathy will check in the neighborhood to see if anyone is interested in maintaining the grounds at the Civic Center.

Building Update(7:15 – 7:30) – Jen Suiters

Folding chairs – We’ll be purchasing 16 folding chairs at (~$160) so we have 181 chairs as advertised to our renters
Fire extinguisher – ABC Fire Extinguisher will be doing the annual tagging of the fire extinguishers this month
Club chairs –Judi Roth has 2 club chairs for $60. Jen will check with Judi on the dimensions of the chairs to see if we can pick up.
People’s Gas Line Work
People’s Gas will be laying a new gas line on Orlando Place and have requested access and use of the park and parking lot. They would like to bring heavy equipment and store equipment on the grounds. Jen suggested we obtain the requested dates of work, equipment to be used, and arrange a rental agreement with People’s Gas
The board agreed we should propose a rental agreement with provisions that the work will not interfere with already arranged rentals, and that any potential damages would be full corrected by People’s Gas.

Events Planning – (7:30 – 8:30)

Fall Fest – Saturday, October 8th: Reviewed action items. Set up is Saturday at noon.
Flip a Lid– Friday, October 14th
Ceil is already taking reservations for Flip a Lid
Damon is looking into a few growlers / samples from the Brew Club
Tara is donating cheesy potatoes
Jen & Abe Crowley are donating pull pork
Ceil is donating chili and macaroni salad
Jen will donate desserts
Ceil has door prize and Nold is donating beer glasses
Ceil will send Sarah content for the website
Set-up is Thursday, October 13 @ 5:00 PM; Ceil, Jerry, Jen, Abe, Jen S will set up
Doors open at 5 or 6 PM TBD
Charge is $25 /pp
Gingerbread Houses – November 20th
Cathy Taylor is organizing this new family event.
The cost will be $5/gingerbread house which includes all the supplies to build a gingerbread house
The event starts at 3:00 PM
Potential judging and prizes awarded to best houses
Gary will make a Gingerbread House ICON and posters for the event

Raja / Fitzgerald Campaign Debate
A BCA member asked if we could host a debate with the 2 Allegheny county representatives; however due to the short timeframe the board agreed to cancel this event
Purse & Jewelry Auction – December 10th
Still on track Gary Pete and Bill Miller coordinating.
Light Up Night – December 18th
The board agreed to do Light Up Night on Yorktown
We will use the November 29th Board meeting to prepare the kits
Gary will create the membership cards for the kits
Jen will assemble a workplan for purchasing the supplies for the kits
Budgeted $250 for the kits, Jen will look for a sponsor to cover the costs

Other / Miscellaneous Topics

Bingo:Ceil has received numerous requests for another Bingo. We are planning on a February 2012 Bingo
Recent Thefts:There have been thefts with items stolen from unlocked cars in the neighborhood. Jen contracted Churchill police and the police advise that neighbors 1): lock all car doors 2): call 911 if they see any suspicious activity. The thefts were conducted by people walking through the neighborhood. We will put an article in the Blackboard to remind neighbors what they can do to prevent thefts.
Crime Watch Group: There are some questions about how the crime watch group works. Jen will follow up with Jen & Abe Crowley.
