Opening:
The special meeting of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee was called to order at 6:40 p.m. on April 16, 2014 atthe Douglas County Courthouse by Gary Appleby, Chairman.

A.Current Business
Danny Cleland made a motion to appoint Neal Wood as Chairman of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee. Mike Keenan seconded the motion.
Ernest Bartholomew made a motion to close nominations for Chairman of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee. Gary Phillipiseconded the motion.
The motion to appoint Neal Wood as Chairman of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee carried by a unanimous vote.
Mike Keenan made a motion to appoint Gary Appleby as Vice Chairman of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee. Ernest Bartholomew seconded the motion.
Danny Cleland made a motion to close nominations for Vice Chairman of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee. Charlie McGrew seconded the motion.
The motion to appoint Gary Appleby as Vice Chairman of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee carried by a unanimous vote.
Danny Cleland made a motion to appoint Laura Henry as Secretary of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee. Charlie McGrew seconded the motion.
Steve Fox made a motion to close nominations for Secretary of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee. Neal Wood seconded the motion.

Steve Fox made a motion to appoint Danny Cleland as Treasurer of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee. Neal Wood seconded the motion.
Ernest Bartholomew made a motion to close nominations for Treasurer of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee. Charlie McGrew seconded the motion.

Charlie McGrew made a motion to select Bob Winchester as the Douglas County Republican Central Committee’s choice for the State Central Committee. Gary Phillipi seconded the motion.

Chairman Neal Wood continued the meeting.
Charlie McGrew requested that as an order of business, Chairman Neal Wood should investigate why early voters are not on the report: Voters Scanned in Pollbook for the General Primary Election which was held Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Mike Keenan volunteered to ask Douglas County Clerk and Recorder, Judi Pollock about it tomorrow as he will be at the Douglas County Courthouse.
Laura Henry made a motion that the Douglas County Republican Central Committee purchase a commemorative plaque for the recipient of the DCRCC Scholarship which is to be given at the Douglas County Republican Women’s Spring Luncheon. The cost should be $30-$40.
Rick Weger will be asked to present the DCRCC Scholarship to the winner at their school’s awards presentation. This year’s winner is from Arthur. Nancy Broch will be notifying us of the date and time of the awards presentation.
The annual trap shoot is scheduled for August 23, 2014.
Laura Henry will send email addresses of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee members to Neil Wood.
E.Next Meeting
The next Douglas County Republican Central Committee meeting will be held May 19, 2014 at 7 p.m. at the Tuscola Senior Center if Danny Cleland can arrange the venue.
Adjournment: Mike Keenan made a motion to dismiss the meeting. Charlie McGrew seconded the motion. The motion carried by unanimous vote.
At 7:00 p.m. the meeting was adjourned.
