Michael Yasick ADHD Scholarship by Shire / 3/19/14 / Michael Yasick ADHD Scholarship by Shire: Qualified students have been diagnosed with ADHD, are under the care of a licensed health professional, and plan to attend a college, trade, technical, or vocational school. Up to 50 students will receive a one-time award of $2,000 and one year of ADHD coaching to assist in meeting the challenges of higher education. Winnebago County Veterans Association Scholarships / 3/28/14 / Winnebago County Veterans Association Scholarships: Applications will be available January 15, 2014. Two $1,000 and two $500 scholarships, one each for males and females graduating from Winnebago County Schools. Must be related to an honorably discharged veteran. Applications may be obtained from the counseling office or the VAC office in the lower level of Memorial Hall, 215 North Main.
Winnebago County Soil and Water Conservation District Scholarship / 3/28/14 / Winnebago County Soil and Water Conservation District Scholarship: Award ranges from $500-$750. Open to Winnebago County seniors planning to pursue degree in an agricultural or natural resources field (Agribusiness, Ag-Economics, Agronomy, Natural Resources, Soil and Crop Science, Forestry, Aquaculture, Wildlife Management, Ag-Science, etc.). Applicants evaluated on academics (3.0+ GPA), community service related to conservation, and educational/career goals.

Rockford Human Services Scholarship / 3/28/14 / Rockford Human Services Scholarship: Open to seniors who plan to attend an Illinois accredited school in the next 6 months. Must have financial need. Application includes short answer questions, 2-3 references, letter of acceptance from an Illinois accredited institution, and award letter of all grants, loans, and other scholarships. Odenza Marketing Group Spring Scholarship / 3/30/14 / Odenza Marketing Group Spring Scholarship: Awards $500. SAE Rockford-Beloit STEM Scholarship / 4/15/14 / SAE Rockford-Beloit STEM Scholarship: Awards $1,000. Eligible students are graduating seniors who are residents of Winnebago, Boone, or Rock Counties and US citizens. Must be accepted into a 2- or 4-year accredited college/university and planning to pursue an engineering or technology-related degree. Rockford Health System Minority Nursing Scholarship / 4/15/14 / Rockford Health System Minority Nursing Scholarship: Awards up to 12 $2,000 renewable scholarships. Open to African-American or Hispanic seniors in Winnebago County. At least 3 will be offered to Hispanic nursing students who are fluent in Spanish (oral and written). Must have 2.5+ GPA, accepted to 2- or 4-year college/university nursing program in Northwestern Illinois. Application, at least 2 letters of reference, transcript, ACT/SAT scores, and essay.

Stimpson “Aviation Excellence Award”: Awards $2,000 to a senior who has been accepted to and will be enrolled in an aviation degree core program. Student-View Scholarships / 4/20/14 / Student-View Scholarships: Awards one $4,000, two $1,000, and eight $500 scholarships to students who submit a 15-20 minute application survey. Survey asks questions about colleges in our area. Scholarships are awarded via a random drawing of completed applications. No essay, no ACT/SAT scores, no minimum GPA, no application fees. Rockford Trail Blazer Scholarship / 5/15/14 / Rockford Trail Blazer Scholarship: Awards $1,000 to a Rockford high school senior who plans to attend a 4-year college/university in Fall 2014. Minimum 3.25 GPA, show active involvement in extra-curricular activities and community. NO ESSAY REQUIRED.
