04 / VII (a). FACTORY TESTS at page no:-20
Assembly tests shall be carried out by the Vendor in his shop to ensure proper fitting of parts, specified tolerances, surface R.M.S. checks, panel fixture checks etc. The system shall be operated to demonstrate general operating characteristics of the pedestal and detailed tests on a proper concrete foundation and properly secured on anchor bolts. The tests to be conducted are as follows:
- Rated speed and counter balancing
- Travel limits and shock absorber testing.
- Manual operations of stow locks.
- Lubrication of the bearings, gear boxes, drive units, hand drive, stow pin etc.
- Backlash of Azimuth, Elevation & Train axes.
- Slewing ring bearing wobbling
- Orthogonality between AZ & EL housings.
- Feed alignment with respect to sub reflector as per drawing dimensions
- Surface accuracy check of main and sub reflectors.
- Satellite tracking and demonstration.
