CEAS Aeroacoustics Award

The CEAS Aeroacoustics Award is presented to individuals or teams who have made outstanding contributions in the field of aeroacoustics in Europe. Contributions can take the form of:

  1. Original personal research
  2. Promotion, selection and integration of research activities towards a common technical objective
  3. Practical application of novel technology
  4. Service to the aeroacoustics community

Evaluation Criteria

Personal Research Activity

Nominee’s contribution to the field of aeroacoustics, through original personal research of notable significance to the state-of -the-art, and of major applicability to current technical problems

Management of Research Activities

Nominee’s contribution to the field of aeroacoustics, through the promotion, selection and integration of his/her own and others’ research activities leading to major technical advances

Application of Research Findings

Nominee’s contribution to the field of aeroacoustics, through the promotion and application of novel technologies for the reduction of noise in aerospace applications

Service to the Aeroacoustics Community

The award could also recognise the nominee’s service to the aeroacoustics community through promoting the subject of aeroacoustics amongst governments, the aerospace community, the scientific community and the general public, for example, through the lobbying of the relevant bodies, through membership of national and international committees and through the organisation of conferences and workshops.
