♦ Nominations must be submitted to the Nominations Committee via email, or on a CD or jump drive by Tuesday, February 18, 2014.
♦ The Winner will be announced during an award presentation during the March meeting of the Copper Chapter of NIGP.
Mandatory criteria for all awards: (all applicants shall demonstrate meeting these five (5) criteriaon their submission). All activities and examples cited shall be for the time period January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2013.
Active promoter in education and professional development.
Supportive of public procurement organizations.
Demonstrated passion for the vision and mission of NIGP.
Maintain high ethical and moral standards, in accordance with NIGP Code of Ethics.
Active in community affairs.

To be considered for the MOY award, your submission must be typed within the boxes below each category and must include how the candidate has demonstrated:
- Contributions to the entity he/she serves,
- Contributions to the Institute or profession, and/or
- Contributions to an NIGP Chapter.
Promoter: Describe how the candidate actively promoted education and professional development. Examples include but are not limited to studies and reports, serving as an instructor, coordinating a staff development program, and submittal of an ethics or diversity essay. Attach substantiating documentation.
Supporter: Describe how the candidate was supportive of public purchasing organizations. Examples include but are not limited to contributions to committees organized by NIGP or its Chapters, other membership, national and regional conference attendance, presenting workshops, hosting a networking session, volunteerism, and involvement with other levels of government. Attach substantiating documentation.
Passion: Describe how the candidate demonstrated passion for the vision and mission of NIGP. Examples should portray specific individual contributions and include but not be limited to publications, special assignments, being a mentor, and local community involvement that helped enhance and bring value to the procurement profession. Attach substantiating documentation.
Standards: Describe how the candidate maintains high ethical and moral standards in accordance with the NIGP Code of Ethics. Examples include but are not limited to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the agency, recruit and retain professional staff, managing budgets, innovation in changing procurement concepts and procedures, agency recognition, and attaining local and/or national certifications. Attach substantiating documentation.
Activity: Describe how the candidate actively participates in community affairs. Examples should portrayexceptional leadership over a period of time in public procurement andinclude but are not limited to participation as an officer, committee chair or committee member, leader within local chapter, consultant services, and seminar/webinar participation.
