WHAT: The Renaissance Resume Project
DUE DATE: Monday September 24, 2012
INFO: Your goal is to write a professional business resume for one of the influential
Renaissance thinkers.
STEP ONE: Select an influential artist or author who effectively worked in the Renaissance era. Get it approved by Metcalf so that you do not double up with someone. First come, first served.
STEP TWO: Write a professional business resume which would convince your colleagues that your thinker is the most influential of the era. You are to include a summary of your thinker’s training and education, experiences, and of course, at least two contemporary references (in case we need to verify any information). Also, you will need to assemble a professional portfolio containing a minimum of two of your thinker’s works.
STEP THREE: Arrange the formats so that the resume is clean, crisp, and very businesslike. Remember that in order to convince someone that your client is worthy of his credentials, your resume must be visually appealing and convey the stronger points effectively. You may want to consult resume books or websites for help in this area.
We will present these to the class on September24th, 2012. You must turn in 30 paper copies of the resume along with the originals to be used as handouts.
