As we come to receive communion, we believe God wants to meet with us and pour healing into our lives.
If you would like prayer for healing, please come up to communion with your hands held up together. The person administering the bread will pray God’s healing and blessing for you, then give you the bread and wine.

Today is the first day of advent, so we start to prepare to celebrate the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ to the world as a baby all those years ago. So let us remember that we will be celebrating the birth of Jesus, and not the commercialisation that Christmas has become. We are told not to say Happy Christmas but Happy Holiday so as not to offend anybody. But what about us Christians for whom it is correct - we don’t complain and say it’s offensive to us,we turn the other cheek as we were instructed to by our Lord whose birth we will be celebrating.
So I say Happy Christmas to all my church family. God bless you all as we get ready to celebrate our Lord’s birth on Christmas Day. Keith
Dates for your Diary
December 15-17 Christmas Tree Festival
January 27th Hot Potato evening, 7pm
St Justus Singers
Calling all singers, young and old! Rehearsals for the Christmas Carol Service will be as follows: Saturday 9th December 10.11-30 and Saturday 16th December 10-11.30am. All are most welcome to come along, no audition required.
Christmas Tree Festival: Welcome, Witness, Wonder
How can you participate in this year’s Festival ? There are sign up lists on the board in the hall, so please put your name down early so as not to miss out! Cards for delivery to each home in the parish are ready to be taken, and also posters and fliers.
Christmas cards
There is an invitation to us all to write one Christmas card to all the church family rather than sending lots of separate ones and to give the money saved to support our link parish in Rofati (helping supply water and build a church). Please put your card on the board in the foyer and give money in an envelope marked ‘Rofati’ to the office.
Dear Brothers and Sisters, the next Valley View Service is to take the form of a Carol Service on Sunday 17th December at 3pm. I know this is the weekend of the Christmas Tree Festival and our own Church Carol Service. I have a big ask, would anyone be willing to spare the time to come along and assist me please? It will last for 30-40 minutes only. Thank you in anticipation. Blessings, Sid.
Surgery Hour - Helen and Andrea will be available at church to pray with anyone who would like to come. Noappointment needed. The next time is Tuesday 5th December at 3pm.
Stewardship Month in January
Have you wanted to offer your gifts but not been sure quite how to go about it? As part of our Stewardship month we are holding a series of taster and training sessions in various areas of our church life. Watch this space for more details coming soon.
