Tyndale Bulletin 39 (1988) 150-165.
TYNDALE
BULLETIN
INDEX TO VOLUMES 1-30
Compiled by C. J. HEMER.
NOTE. The irregularities in the numbers and dates of
earlier issues are due to progressive changes and
improvements of format. The present journal is the
successor to the quarterly publications Theological
Notes (1944) and The Tyndale Bulletin (Old Series) '(1945-
1948), the change of name following 'upon the opening of
Tyndale House as a research centre in 1944. The re-
establishment of the journal proper as a separate publi-
cation, The Tyndale House Bulletin, from the time of the
House extension in 1956 initiates the present series. It
was at first a combination of newsletter with articles
and notes, and appeared almost twice yearly until 1965,
with a change to a new journal format between the
curiously numbered double issues 4-5 and 5-6. Since Vol.
17 (1966) the renamed Tyndale Bulletin has been an annual
journal, incorporating the publication of many Tyndale
Lectures, which had previously appeared individually in
the discontinued Tyndale Monograph series.
The compiler is indebted to a paper submitted earlier by
Mr. Alan G. Padgett of Madison, New Jersey, whose list-
ings have been partly used and revised for the first part
of this index.

SUBJECT INDEX
This part is arranged under broad topical headings
grouped for practicality of reference rather than on a
consistent theoretical principle. Articles are placed
chronologically in each section. Duplicate entries are
made selectively, often to include both major themes and
focal passages of scripture under discussion, whether or
not apparent from the title. Except in a few cases,
articles are listed only by author's surname, short title
and volume number. Full bibliographical details will be
found by reference to the author index.
