Class Description
The purpose of this class is not only for students to learn the fundamentals of photography (composition, lighting, exposure etc.), but also to learn the modern photographers’ workflow starting with RAW images and processing them through Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop to achieve professional quality photographs. Students will also be challenged to learn how to harness the power of communication that photography offers to tell stories, communicate ideas and achieve objectives. Students will explore not only the how of photography but also the why.This class has a homework level of 3.
The purpose of this class is for students to become visually literate while learning the what, why and how of Graphic
Design. Students will learn the fundamentals of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and engage in many “real-world”
graphic design projects to practice their new skills, problem solving and creativity. Students will also learn the basics of
typography and how to communicate visually in an effective and appealing manner.
