RE: Brand Marketing (CRM) Opportunity
Dear Ms. Sullivan:
I admire LifeScan Canada’s commitment to serve people with diabetes by providing high quality products and service. Furthermore, I am suitable for the marketing position because of the valuable experience in marketing and CRM I gained while working at Vancouver’s largest law firm, RoskenFollick Grain LLP. Moreover, I have more than five years experience in customer service and sales.
Currently, I am a fourth year BCom student at the Sauder School of Business specializing in Marketing and International Business. My qualifications which would be of great value to LifeScan Canada Ltd. include:
•Team Collaboration: At RoskenFollick Grain LLP (RFG), I excelled in coordinating andcollaborating with a marketing team that was the recipient of the 20XX BOSEFirm/Marketer of theYearaward. I assisted in planning various events, such as the Grouse Grind and Annual Reception. I enhanced my writing skills by preparing a competitive analysis report. I also gained valuable experience in managing multiple projects with minimum supervision and guidelines. I often completed assigned tasks and projects before the deadlines. Furthermore, I augmented my listening and communication skills through organizing events and team building activities as a group leader with the International Peer Program at UBC.
•CRM Experience: I worked intensively with RFG’s customer relationship management team in analyzing and researching the organizational structure of companies to determine key contacts. Also, I performed extensive research to compile a competitive analysis report detailing marketing strategies, firm growth and credentials of top lawyers of the five largest law firms in Vancouver.
•Project Management and Marketing: I am the founder of a weekly radio show, “Radio Prada”. For over twoyears, I have been managing and organizing the show. It is essential for me to take initiative andnetwork with individuals in the community to gather information for the show. Moreover, I have createdflyers and brochures to market the show at various events. Finally, I assisted in organizing and marketing UBC’sInternational Business Conference which was attended by 150 students and 75 business professionals.
Thank you for your time and consideration of my application. I am very excited about this opportunity to apply my past experience to such a worthwhile organization as LifeScan. I look forward to arranging an interview to further discuss my qualifications. I can be reached through my contact information listed above.
Sincerely,
Laila Chan
