Mission HealthSystemScholarship for HealthProfessionals

TheCollege of Health and HumanSciencesatWesternCarolina Universityhasestablished a fundforstudent support through the generousgift ofMission HealthSystem ofAsheville, NorthCarolina. Thepurpose of this fund is to increase the number of qualifiedhealthandalliedhealthcare providers in andbeyond the westernNorthCarolina region. Thefund will support scholarships forstudentsdemonstrating exceptionalacademic merit/promise and/orfinancial need.Though scholarships will beopen to all qualified students, the college is especiallyinterested in supportingapplicantsfrom westernNorthCarolina who alsoreflect the diversecommunitieswe serve.

  • TheMission HealthSystemScholarshipprovidesscholarship awards ofvaryingamounts,dependent upon theselected program within the College ofHealthand Human Sciences.
  • Whilesome recipients mayreceive this awardforconsecutiveyears, theymust reapplyforconsideration.
  • Most programs require recipientsto registerforaminimum of nine (9) credithourseachsemester.
