Career Pathway:Plumbing / Students must successfully pass the following three courses in order to sit for the End-of-Pathway Assessment:

Credentialing Exam: / NCCER Plumbing Level 1 Certification:
An assessment is given at the end of each of the following modules and performance exams are given at the end of selected modules per NCCER guidelines:
· Basic Safety
· Introduction to Construction Math
· Introduction to Hand Tools
· Introduction to Power Tools
· Introduction to Construction Drawings
· Introduction to Basic Rigging (Elective)
· Basic Communication Skills
· Basic Employability Skills
· Introduction to Material Handling
· Introduction to the Plumbing Profession
· Plumbing Safety
· Plumbing Tools
· Introduction to Plumbing Math
· Introduction to Plumbing Drawings
· Plastic Pipe and Fittings
· Copper Pipe and Fittings
· Cast-Iron Pipe and Fittings
· Carbon Steel Pipe and Fittings
· Corrugated Stainless Steel Tubing
· Fixtures and Faucets
· Introduction to Drain, Waste and Vent (DWV) Systems
· Introduction to Water Distribution Systems
· Tools of the Plumbing Trade (4th edition – 2012)
· Introduction to Plumbing Fixtures (4th edition- 2012)
Students must successfully pass each of the above written and performance exams at the end of the related module over the span of the three above referenced courses (unless it is noted as “Elective”) to receive the Plumbing Level I Certification.
Students using older versions of the NCCER Curriculum must complete all modules that are not labeled “Elective” and be issued the NCCER Core Curriculum and Plumbing Level I Credential to achieve EOPA credit.
NOTE:
· The high school program must be NCCER accredited through CEFGA to support the Plumbing Level I Certification.
· Only those students who have earned a NCCER Level I Certification can use this certification as an EOPA exam option.
· Data should only be reported through the EOPA Portal at the end of the school year for students who have earned the NCCER Level I Certifications.
· Determinations to utilize the NCCER Level I Certifications as EOPA exam options are made locally.

Test Ordering Information: / After completing each module, students take the end of module exam which will be dispensed by the instructor. The exam consists of both a written and performance component. All student work is submitted to the Accredited Training Sponsor (ATS) to be evaluated. The ATS in Georgia is the Construction Education Foundation of Georgia (CEFGA). Once student work is approved by CEFGA, CEFGA notifies NCCER of approval and NCCER provides the credential to the student.
NOTE: Instructors should keep very thorough documentation of student performance as students complete module exams throughout each course in the pathway. Once students have successfully completed all module exams in each designated course of the pathway, instructors should inform the CTAE Administrator of students who have obtained the Level 1 Certification and be prepared to share the necessary documentation of student performance with the CTAE Administrator.
