2020 Vision of Logistics Workshop
Hosted by Transdek
The Logistics Leaders Networkis back in South Yorkshire in 2017 following the success of its first two 2020 Vision of Logistics Supply Chain Strategy Group Workshops in 2015 and 2016. Over 60 logisticians, operators and consultants gathered on each occasion to hear a number of thought-provoking sessions covering key logistics and supply chain issues affecting the future.
The half-day workshop on 16February 2017will look at the logistics challenges being faced in the key regions of South and West Yorkshire, the North East and the North West. The rapid rise of online shopping and home delivery to the 25% of the total population of England and Wales living in the North, the potential for re-balancing of the economy following the vote to leave the EU and infrastructure developments is creating a new set of logistics challenges.
The Logistics Leaders Networkhas put together a series of thought provoking presentations:
- Logistics moves centre stage in business strategy
- Re-defining road freight fleets for the 21st Century
- Waterways provide an alternative logistics solution
- Fraud is growing against logistics companies
- Supply Chain implications of re-balancing the Northern Powerhouse economy
- Muller and Office Depot provide two case studies of upskilling the workforce at all levels, facing the apprenticeship challenge and attracting talent
