Dear STCA Members and Friends,
This year, as our club reaches two very major and significant milestones for both the breed and the club, we are pulling out all the stops for a true Skye Terrier extravaganza. Our celebration of our 100th National Specialty Show and our 75th year as an AKC Member Breed Club will be a showcase for the breed we all love so dearly, so if you have never attended a National Specialty Show Weekend, this Diamond Jubilee celebration is not to be missed. Skye lovers from around the world are already making plans to attend, so please help us to make this weekend our best ever.
The weekend will kick off with an Education Day program and meet and greet cocktail hour and will feature special programs each evening including auctions, a presentation on performance Skyes, our annual awards dinner and a mystery themed dinner. Add to that,four days of dog shows culminating in our 100th National Specialty Show on Sunday October 6, 2013. This will be a most special all day event with Skyes piped into the ring, a special opportunity for breed lovers to let everyone meet their Skyes during the Skyes of the Heart Parade, and so very much more.
Enclosed you will find information about making hotel reservations, a general schedule and description of all the weekend events and the forms you will need to complete and return to submit ads for the Specialty Show Catalog, the Education Program, and all the Dinner Events. Up to date information on events and all of these same forms are also available on our STCA Facebook Page at Skye Terrier Diamond Jubilee, and on the official STCA website at clubs.akc.org/skye, so please check these pages frequently in case of a change in any of the enclosed information or should additional information need to be gotten out.
