Program Expectations:

Gallery Guides are expected to make a one year commitment to the program. Additionally, gallery guides are responsible for giving their scheduled tours and finding a replacement if they cannot make their tour. Guides are also expected to attend all monthly gallery guide trainings.

Gallery Guide Training:

A five-day long intensive training occurs Monday - Friday, September 9-13, 2012from about 9 am – 5 pm. It is requisite to attend training. Can you attend training?

Touring Expectations:

After successful completion of training, gallery guides give two (2)tours a month, either school tours or public tours (nine to eighteen hours a month).

Ongoing monthly training throughout the year is scheduled the third Friday of eachmonth from 10am-12pm and periodically from 9-11am on the Friday of an exhibition opening reception. Please indicate if you cannot attend monthly Friday trainings and why:

School Tours are currently offered Tuesdays–Thursdays from 10am-12pm. Gallery Guides are expected to be at the Frye from 9:30am–12:15pm in order to prepare and clean up tour materials.

Public Tours are currently offered Tuesday - Sunday at 1pm and Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday at 11:30am.For the 1pm tour, Gallery Guides are expected to be at the Frye from 12:45-2:15pm unless a private tour is scheduled. For the 11:30am tour, guides are expected to be at the Museum from 11:15am -12:45pm.

Private tours are scheduled Tues-Sun following public tours at 2pm and last one hour.
