For the next few minutes, we’re going to watch part of a message by Bill Elliff on how God usually works to prepare people for His manifest presence.

REVIVAL PRAYER TIME

The best prayer is that which is led by the Spirit! As a leader, you must listen to the Spirit and let Him guide you to gently facilitate this prayer time. Don’t be hesitant to lead.

  1. ENTERING IN: Let’s take a few minutes to walk into the throne room and shut the door behind us. Turn all your attention to the throne, and spend the next few minutes thanking God for all the things He seems to be doing around us in the nation regarding revival and awakening.
  1. INTERCESSION: Let’s move to intercession. Think through the areas mentioned on the video. Let’s cry out to God to do more in each of these areas specifically:
  • VOICES: Pray that God would raise up great preachers and leaders for revival.
  • DESPERATION: Pray for a growing desperation, that God will use whatever He desires.
  • REPENTANCE: Pray that the Lord will bring a spirit of repentance to our people.
  • UNITY: Pray that God would begin to unite us with explicit agreement and visible union.
  • INCREASED SPIRITUAL ACTIVITY: Pray that we would see signs of His moving and prayer across the nation.
  • CHRIST BEING EXALTED: Pray that His name and renown would explode across our nation!

In these last minutes, is God saying anything to us that we should do, or do together, to help foster revival and awakening in our areas? (Discuss.)

You could end the prayer time by saying, “Let’s all gather in a tight circle, arms around each other, and pray at the same time for God to send revival to our nation!”
