Peratech creates Chinese version of its website in response to rapidly growing demand for its innovative 3D Touch Technology
Richmond, Yorkshire – 5May2016. Peratech, a world leader in force sensing technology, has created a Chinese version of its website to meet the rapidly growing demand for its innovative,3D Touch Technology solutions in China.
“Companies such as Huawei and Apple have pioneered the use of 3D ForceTouch in mobile devices,” explained Neil Jarvie, Peratech’s VP of Sales. “As the mobile device supply chain prepares to offer 3D ForceTouch in more devices, China-based OEMs and CMs are increasingly coming to Peratech for a low cost, reliable way to deliver 3D force sensingsolutions for mobile device HMIsusingits unique QTC®-based sensors. Chinese-speaking designers and engineers want to integrate smart, intuitive HMIs in the next generation of electronic devices and believe Peratech can provide the complete solution. This Chinese language website is yet another step in making it easier for them.”
Added Peratech CEO, Jon Stark, “Peratech offersboth off-the-shelf force sensors and custom sensing-solutions in mass commercial volumes, and we’ve seen a large increase in the number of requests for NPI development from Chinese and Taiwanese customers. Our continued investment in providing easy access to Peratech technologies for our Chinese-speaking customers and partners demonstrates our commitment and ability to bring the best force sensing solutions to mass production this year.”
Peratech APAC Regional Sales Manager, W.L. Chen, said, "As we continue to expand in the Chinesemarket, we receive many requests from our customers for additional resources in Chinese. Based on our commitment to serve our Chinese-speaking customers worldwide, we have launched web-based and live services in Chinese. The result is that Peratech is making significant inroadswith our Chinese customers andmeeting their customer service needs with superior, unique solutions."
At the heart of Peratech’s 3D Touch Technology is its multi-award winning Quantum Tunnelling Composite® (QTC) technologies. QTC-based materials change their electrical resistance in response to force applied. QTC-based inks can be screen printed to create a solid-state sensor solution of any size or shape, including curved surfaces.

QTC® sensors are opening up a new world of possibilities with innovative, pressure-based user experiences. QTC materials change from being an almost perfect insulator to becoming increasingly conductive in proportion to the amount of force applied. The materials are very resilient with predictable deformation and recovery so that changes in resistance due to even the slightest amount of pressure on the QTC material is both predictable and repeatable over more than a million cycles. New forcesensing formulations from Peratech include a transparent version of QTC. These forcesensing formulations provide the highest dynamic range of multi-touch pressure-sensing for displays to create more natural, smarter, safer interactions between a product and user.
