and volunteerism in small to medium-sized businesses by honoring those whose good works make our community a better place.

2009 CG Schmidt Statewide Ovation Award for Corporate Support
Recognize the small to medium-sized business that makes your community a better place by serving the underserved. Your nomination may lead to a $5,000 contribution for a deserving non-profit organization.
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2009 CG Schmidt Statewide Ovation Award for Corporate Support. Designed to inspire giving in small and medium-sized businesses, the award honors smaller, lesser-known companies that give back with all the vigor of a larger, more prominent business. These efforts can come in the form of in-kind support, board involvement or the encouragement of employee volunteerism.
The CG Schmidt Statewide Ovation Awards specifically recognize corporate support efforts in all areas of the state excluding the following counties, as they are included in the Capital Region Ovation program, whose nomination period begins in August, 2009: Adams, Columbia, Crawford, Dane, Dodge, Fond du Lac, Grant, Green, Green Lake, Monroe, Iowa, Jefferson, Juneau, Lafayette, Marquette, Richland, Rock, Sauk and Vernon counties.
The CG Schmidt Foundation will contribute $5000 to a deserving non-profit or charity organization of the Statewide winner’s choice, and a $2,500 contribution to an honorable mention. The statewide Ovation Award will be presented at the Donors Forum of Wisconsin's 10th Annual Statewide Conference on Philanthropy on Friday, September 11th at The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee.
