It is a blessing to have you in worship with us today. We trust that you will witness the presence of God among us and join us in lifting up the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Our hearts’ desire is to grow disciples to reach a needy world with the love of Christ. Thanks for being a part of this effort through your prayers, giving, and Christian service.
May God richly bless you.

SCRIPTURE READING–Psalm 124
1If it had not been theLordwho was on our side—
let Israel now say—
2if it had not been theLordwho was on our side
when people rose up against us,
3then they would haveswallowed us up alive,
when their anger was kindled against us;
4thenthe flood would haveswept us away,
the torrent would have goneover us;
5then over us would have gone
the raging waters.
6Blessed be theLord,
who has not given us
as prey to their teeth!
7We have escaped like a bird
fromthe snare of the fowlers;
the snare is broken,
and we have escaped!
Together
8Our help is in the name of theLord,
who made heaven and earth.
PRISON MINISTRY
Prison Ministry Christian Mentoring & Transition Program
- Do you have THREE hours a month to share with an incarcerated woman by visiting and writing her at the Maryland Correctional Institution for Women (MCIW) in Jessup?
- Do you want to assist in reuniting families and be a catalyst for positive change?
- Do you remember the impact that a positive role model had in your life and you want to give back AND make a difference in someone’s life?
If you are a woman and have answered YES to all of the questions above, THIS MESSAGE IS FOR YOU! We need committed Christian women to serve as mentors to the women incarcerated at MCIW. To prepare you for service as a mentor, the Christian Mentoring and Transition (CMAT) training program will be offered at Colonial on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
If you have questions, please see Sister Christine Johnson Team Leader, Prison Outreach Ministry Team or Sister Lara Raji.

WELCOME TO NATIONAL BACK TO CHURCH SUNDAY
We welcome you today to our special worship celebration. We would like to introduce you to Colonial Baptist Church, an amazing place with really great people who are ready to share life with you. You will find here, a relaxed atmosphere, great music and you will be able to talk with real people.
We’ve all got interest – sports, celebrities, food, TV shows – but if someone looked at your life, would they really get a picture of who you are? Maybe it’s time to go deeper and develop meaningful relationships. This is the time and here is the opportunity to connect and grow.
You will find that there are many opportunities for study, fellowship and growth here at Colonial. We pray that you look at and take advantage of Bible Study, Women’s Ministry, Men’s Bible Study, Youth and Young Adult Bible Study, AWANA and many other opportunities for growth and fellowship.
Again, we are very excited that you have come to share with us today. Please join us following worship for refreshments in the Fellowship Hall.
