Comments on: Your own business idea section
We felt that there wasn’t enough information to support those who have decided to go ahead with their business idea. The transition from final idea to the SYB program is not made clear. A symbol or statement of transition clearly stating completion or transition would benefit the entrepreneur at this stage to reaffirm.
For those that required to reflect further they had more content available and referencing/signposting on where to go next is available.
GYBI Assignment 5.1
We also felt there should be a provision for amending the assignment after submission, perhaps give participants time to review and reflect on their initial submissions. The questionasked might ignite a spark that they might reflect on so save and return later function would be a good idea as well as save before submission.
Activity form comments:-
Selection of type of business is not active. It should be active
Instructions on how to save the form not clear. We felt the steps given might be complicated for a novice user with a poor understanding of the environment.
Assumptions about the activity form - Entrepreneurs should be encouraged to save all activity forms in one folder for ease of access in the future.
End of course assessment - Question 6 asks for 4 opportunities but the marketing line might confuse participants if the GYBI manual talks about the making line and not marking line.
Question 7 asks two questions but only allows for one answer. Some require more than one answer or at least an explanation. The end of course assessment allow for a reattempt which is good.

A statement to encourage them to ask question would be important at this point. Entrepreneurs could also be encouraged to test their ideas to see what other business people think about them.
End of course evaluation
Reframing question 1 to read “Do you think that this course has covered all the topics needed to generate a business idea?” This will connect well the choice of answers given.
The use of the GYB needs to be corrected to GYBI.
Some questions might require a statement to support the reason for selecting the response. For example the question on “what do you think about the length of the course.” One response advocates for two options (too short/too long) but no way to indicate which one applies. This to be rephrased to either too short or too long but not both in the same option.
Last question has a spelling mistake “learning” and is a bit vague the environment experience maybe subjective if not understood. E.g The individual using the platform may be experiencing problems which are not related to the platform.
Overall
Some questions we’re too broad and need to be more specific and parameters added. In the end, the satifaction of participants might be affected by this.
E.g What do you think about the learning environment and the resources provided during the course?
Very good, reasonable, poor
